Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/2 cup of broccoli or green beans
- 1/2 bell pepper (any color)
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- Olive Oil
- Soy sauce
- Maple syrup
- Ground ginger, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, turmeric
- Tahini
- 1/4 cup of cashews or almonds
- 1 cup white or brown rice
Instructions
- Add onion, garlic, broccoli or green beans, and bell pepper to a skillet on high heat
- Add ground meat in another pan and cook until brown
- Add 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp black pepper, 2 tsp paprika
- Make your rice according to package: 1 cup brown or white
Make your sauce!
- Combine 1 tbsp ground ginger, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp thyme, & 1/2 lemon juice
- Next add 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/2-1 tbsp soy sauce (depending on how much of a salty taste you prefer), ½ tbsp maple syrup, & 1 tbsp tahini
- Add ¼ cup of cashews or almonds
- When meat is finished cooking, set aside and drain any liquid
- Add your tahini sauce and serve with rice!
